In 2018, my hometown of New Bern, North Carolina was hit hard by Hurricane Florence. The devastation left in the wake of the storm was extensive, and many families were left in need of assistance. In response, I organized a donation drive in partnership with Heritage Kids Drop-In Daycare to provide much-needed relief. Through our efforts, we were able to collect a significant amount of donations, including food, clothing, and essential supplies. These donations were then delivered to two key organizations on the ground in New Bern: EMDL Hope Heroes and All Hands & Hearts Smart Response.

In addition to the donation drive, my company also provided cupcakes for a relief concert event that was held in Downtown New Bern. The event brought together members of the community and provided a much-needed source of comfort and support in the aftermath of the storm.

Overall, I'm proud of the work that we were able to accomplish in the wake of Hurricane Florence. By organizing a donation drive and providing support to those in need, we were able to make a real difference in the lives of our fellow community members.
